On Thursday, the NFL announced that the National Anthem will be sung by Empress of Soul, Gladys Knight, before the February 3 Super Bowl in Atlanta. “I am proud to use my voice to unite and represent our country in my hometown of Atlanta,” the seven-time Grammy winner and Rock and Roll Hall-of-Famer said in a statement. As The Washington Post alludes to, one of the Super Bowl’s most enjoyable prop bets is the over-under on how long a designated singer will take to belt out the “Star-Spangled Banner.” Pink, who belted out the anthem before last year’s Super Bowl, is one of the few artists to complete the tune in under two minutes.
