We Know for a FACT (Kind of) How Much Snow we will get Tomorrow!

Minnesota has had a relatively mild January so far in 2019, but colder temps and wintery weather will deliver a more familiar first-month feeling to southern Minnesota residents.

The National Weather Service (NWS) says the region can expect up to five inches of snow in the coming days.  The agency has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Mankato and the surrounding areas, including the cities of Waseca, Blue Earth and Albert Lea.  The advisory goes into effect starting Friday morning at 9 a.m. and will expire at 10 p.m.

Not only is snow possible every day through Wednesday of next week according to NWS, but temperatures will drop over the weekend with lows around zero, or perhaps even sub-zero on Saturday night.

If you’re looking for the good news in the midst of predictions of snow and cold, it’s that the winds should stay mild, allowing motorists to travel without visibility concerns.
