Weekends With Monroe

I was born in New Ulm MN on Christmas Day, and have been pissed ever since…“Thanks for the Birthday/Christmas present, said no one ever.” After graduating from New Ulm, I joined the Marine Corp and lived in California, this is where my already strong passion for music grew. Upon returning to MN, I went to Brown Institute for Radio Broadcasting and started my first radio job in Minneapolis on what was then an 80’s station, and then found myself returning to Southern MN and starting at what was then Z99 (Now Mix) moving to River 105 and back to Mix 99.1. I decided to leave radio for a period of time, but my passion and love for this business were much too strong and I returned to the Mankato airwaves in the spring of 2013. I’m a massive fan of Rock, Punk, Alternative, and anything that rocks, however not a fan of Country Music, at all. I’m married, happily, to my wife Jaci who loves country music but is not a fan of Rock, at all, I know it’s weird. She is amazingly amazing and way out of my league. We have 4 great kids, 3 boys, and a girl. I enjoy long walks on the beach with my girlfriend, until the LSD wears off and I realize I’m just dragging a stolen mannequin around a Wendy’s parking lot.
