Police in southeast Minnesota have been out in the frigid cold searching for a woman who has been missing since leaving for work on Wednesday morning.

Leigh Elizabeth Meska, 31, of Goodview, Minnesota, was last seen leaving her home to take the hour-long trip to work at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

She drives a 2014 gray Chevrolet Impala with the Minnesota license plate 136MWK.

There is heightened concern for Meska’s welfare given the extremely low temperatures seen across Minnesota on Wednesday.

She is 5’3″ tall, weighs 125 pounds, and has brown hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a red jacket, a sweater and black leggings.

Anyone who knows where she is should call Goodview police at 507-452-1500, or Winona County Law Enforcement Dispatch at 507-457-6492.

The St. Paul Fire Department Rescue Squad helicopter was called in to assist with the search on Wednesday afternoon.
