Pedestrian struck and killed in Farmington
(St. Paul, MN) – A Farmington woman was killed while crossing a highway Saturday.
Thirty-eight-year-old April Janeen Sterling was struck and killed as she was attempting to cross Highway 3 on the north edge of Farmington.
The northbound Hyundai Santa Fe that hit Sterling was driven by 28-year-old Frances Robert Mays of Farmington. Mays and his passenger, Ashley Danielle London, 24, of Farmington weren’t injured. Neither Mays or London was under the influence of alcohol, according to the crash report.
The Minnesota State Patrol says roads were snow and ice covered at the time of the crash, around 7:21 p.m.
