(Le Center, MN) – A man found dead in rural Montgomery had been a resident of a group home.

The Le Sueur County Sheriff said the elderly man was found out outside a home around 8:07 a.m. Wednesday.  Efforts to save the man’s life were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man was identified as a voluntary resident at a rural Montgomery group home and had walked away from the facility on April 20th.

Police say there was nothing suspicious about his death and there is no threat to the public.  The cause of death is under investigation.
