Details About the “Sopranos” Prequel Are Coming Out

As the 20th-anniversary celebration of “The Sopranos” continues, details about the upcoming prequel to the hit show are being revealed.

The film, which is titled The Many Saints of Newark, will be “set in 1967 with the backdrop of the race riots that were happening in Newark at the time,” said  Alessandro Nivola who will be playing Christopher’s dad in the film.

David Chase also revealed that Tony Soprano would be involved “but as a kid,” and you will also see how the relationship between Tony and Christopher’s dad developed.  A younger Junior Soprano will be involved in the film along with other favorites from the series as their younger selves. Who those “other” people are just hasn’t been revealed yet.
