Another act for the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand series has been announced, but this one is aimed at a younger audience.

Darci Lynne Farmer, the teenage ventriloquist that took the country by storm in 2017 when she became one of the most popular “America’s Got Talent” winners ever at the age of just 12, will play the State Fair on Labor Day Monday, Sept. 7.

Unlike the usual Grandstand shows, Farmer will take to the stage during the afternoon, with her show starting at 4 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 7.

She will be supported by another popular children’s act, State Fair mainstays the Okee Dokee Brothers.

An Oklahoma native, Farmer, will be joined on stage by her musical friends, the rabbit Petunia, the mouse Oscar, and “sarcastic” old woman Edna.

Her stop in St. Paul is part of her wider Fresh Out of the Box tour.

Since winning “America’s Got Talent,” she has featured on national TV shows including NBC’s “Little Big Shots,” Food Network’s “Kids Baking Championship,” along with “Ellen” and “Today.”

Last week, the State Fair announced The Doobie Brothers as the first act for its 2020 Grandstand series.
