The season 2 finale of The Masked Singer on Wednesday came down to a battle between The Fox, The Rottweiler and The Flamingo. Starting off was The Fox, who performed a soulful cover of Otis Redding’s “Try a Little Tenderness” that got the judges buzzing. Jenny McCarthy called it “unbelievable.” The Fox then addressed the crowd, telling them, “I just want to thank this show for making me one happy fox.” Next up, The Flamingo did a high-energy version of Tina Turner’s “Proud Mary,” which prompted judge Nicole Scherzinger to say, “You might be rolling into the winner’s circle with that performance.”

The final performance from The Rottweiler was a powerful version of Sia’s “Alive,” after which he told the judges and crowd, “I am just really, really grateful right now…I’m often my own worst enemy and, like most of us, I’m finding my true voice. But this experience has brought me so much closer to that. I feel like I’ve already won.” Once the performances finished, it was time to pick a winner.

The first to be cut was The Flamingo, who turned out to be Adrienne Bailon–who also happened to be the picks of Robin Thicke, Scherzinger and McCarthy. The second-place finisher was The Rottweiler, who fooled all the judges when he was revealed to be Chris Daughtry. The winner of this year’s Golden Mask was The Fox, who turned out to be …Wayne Brady! (Scherzinger and Robin guessed correctly.) “This has been the coolest, most amazing, most touching, most challenging, weirdest thing–and I host Let’s Make a Deal,” Brady joked. “I’m gonna take this with me forever. This show is amazing. Because of the mask you lead with your talent first.”
